It's not about the form.

More importantly is the mind, the spirit within the form.

If a woman is young a beautiful or old and decrepit, one should not judge based on her form.

If a baby can speak or a baby is speechless and needy, the same due respect for that being must persist.

Respect for all life, human and otherwise is a way to take care of our whole interconnected life network and as a result you take care of yourself.

When it is hard, difficult or uneasy to have respect for a being, examine and see why.

And still respect with your heart and mind.

When our thinking is clear and thoughts of judgement do not arise, we are awakened.

First begin by not speaking your judgements and soon you will not think them either.

This life is fleeting, do not waste this precious moment to scorn another in your mind.

Give thanks for all around you.  See the hope and the possibility in every moment.

Lean to the positive. And the positive will lean towards you.

Take courageous action.  When challenge and difficulty arises, see that this is the worlds way of having all kinds of energies, and rise above them with strength, bravery, all seeing that what you want and know lies ahead, above.  Reach that space of possibility.

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti.

It is imperative for spiritual realization to be positive, optimistic, to be hopeful and bright, no matter what the shortcomings of the moment or of your own emotions, or mind.

Realizing that adversity will always arise when we fear it, we must stick to the gratitude in our day and look to where we have been blessed and give THANKS!

Look for the openings in the cracks of the cement, just like the little dandelion flower does during the spring and summer.

With that ambition you will find the openings to let you follow your rightful path, to slice through the negativity and the surrounding and create a more conducive and synchronistic path.

When Nature roars... go to her, immerse in her, commune and connect

After such a tumultuous 2 weeks energetically, with the flash floods in Colorado and the fall equinox, all my mind body and spirit is asking for is nature.  Around the globe, the power of autumn spins, earthquakes in Peru, hurricanes in Mexico.

So, today I went to the nearest mountain trail, and began to walk, and noticed how my nervous system began to slow down, began to equilibriate with the pulse of Mother Nature.

I noticed the magpies, and the chicharras, and the cottonwoods and the grass and mountain mahogany.
I didn't make it to the forest but I was yearning for the blanket of chi energy that woods and trees offer.
When we live within sight of power lines, cars, roads, stores, electric lights, it throws off our connection to the pulse of the Earth.

Getting amongst only natural living beings without the buzz of electronics and machinery is so healing, grounding, recharging.

Merely an hour spent can be so rejuvenating and fill the energetic reservoirs.

To live within distance of a forest is so priceless, or otherwise a body of water, and just as great, a garden that you can step into and touch and tend.

Now it is harvest time, and the wind is blowing harder and we are asked to cut and mow and scratch the Earth.  Get ready to put it to bed when the frosts come thicker and heavier, just a month or two more of garden cultivating.

Now is time for pumpkins, apples, berries roots, to ground us and bring us inside ourselves to our own roots.  The season of fruits is coming to a close.  The season of sun is coming to a close.  As much as we are in denial that summer is over, it is a necessary part of the cycle.  To evaluate what has passed, how we have grown, how we have reached and spread and blossomed over the summer.  What we may have overlooked and been distracted by, in our furious sun dancing, and what we were right on to encourage in our lives, and boost and propel forward.  What friendships blossomed, and which ones disappeared? Which ones are just taking new roots?  As the seasons pass, the people in our life take on different importance and center stage.  Be compassionate to all those in your life, for they may have strengths in different seasons, and knowing them all year is worth the ups and downs, and this brings friendship to a deeper level.  Some may have been summer birds that are flying south, and not meant to go through winter with you.  Some may be the butterflies that drink your nectar, and others may be the compliment to you that help you plant your seeds for next year, perennial friends.

But if you are feeling blown about, ungrounded, imbalanced even in the tiniest way, go to Mother Nature.  Walk in her fields, among her strong rooted trees, dip your feet in her cold streams.  In her are the answers to our past, present and future.  She has the pulse to follow, the rhythm that will set your soul at ease, and let your mind take the right direction.  Let the cloudy thoughts float by just as the clouds do in the sky.  Do not carry them with you inside, they are merely passing weather.  But your blood, your bones, can be calmed like the elements in harmony, and let you sleep at night with dreams.

Write down your dreams, waking and sleeping.  Be in touch with your subconscious.  Fall and Winter are the times to go to the subconscious level and bridge it with the conscious mind.  We can remember and be aware of so much more than we think.  We are just a few degrees away from enlightenment.

This lifetime, connect, silence, bliss.

And remember to drink your heart juice every day.

Be the stillness in the storm
Keep focused on the mental picture of what you want and how it would feel to have what you want.
Dont be surprised by where you are now, we have to pass through the haze sometimes to see the sun again.  The haze doesnt persist forever.
Take breaks from tedious work and do something that lyour furnace

What matters most in life is creating lasting bonds with those in your life.
This involves creating healthy boundaries and making wise choices about who to surround yourself with.
Does your closest friend make you feel neutral after time spent together, drained, or renewed?  That is a good marker as to how healthy of a bond it is.
Do not fret over people's flaws, faults, or downright negativity, just choose to not engage and hold your space in joy and cheer.  Easier said than done, but it is a daily practice that forms habits.  Healthy habits are the ones we are shooting for.

Now, back to the place of what matters most in life- create lasting bonds with those you love and cherish.

Not only do you want to take into account how you feel when you leave one of those loved ones' company, you now want to also put the focus on them and their well being.  Sincere compassion really creates goodness and kindness in you.  Reach and strive for that.  How can you put yourself in your best friend's shoes even when what they are telling you is far from anything you have ever felt, thought, or did?  Delve into the feelings they are expressing, and don't be afraid to ask, "Did I get that right?" when making an empathizing remark.  How can you make your acquaintances feel renewed after sharing your company?

Communication is a fountain of gold.  It is the work that we do as human beings with the large brains.  That is what we have evolved into being, owning the mental capacity to be communicative, responsive, compassionate, loving.  Live our evolution and continue to evolve.  Communicate by asking questions, getting to the heart of the matter, being HONEST, being kind, being compassionate.

Reap the benefits of drinking your heart juice.  Create smile wrinkles rather than scowl wrinkles.  Or don't wrinkle at all because all your expressions are like yoga for your face and you embrace them all!

Be a friend, Make a friend, Keep a friend, Re-unite with a friend.

Juice it baby!

Like Mother Teresa says, When you want to show you care, pick up a broom

Some days are more driven than others.  If you haven't the chance to make it to the errands you had in mind across the town driving in and out of traffic, and opted to stay in, you can always make it a productive day by doing some work in the yard.

Getting in touch with nature, hands in the dirt, sweat dripping from the forehead, is a natural way to reconnect.  It also happens to be one of the most available sources of chi energy.  If you don't live near any mountains or bodies of water, a fertile garden is also a great place to recycle your old energy out of your feet and hands and receive new energy through those same doorways.

Its a meditation in movement.  If you're saying you don't have a green thumb or don't have the fertile soil to work with.  Planting herbs or flowers indoors or on a patio or balcony will work just as well.  This week we made a new clothesline in the back yard, and I broke the ground for a garden today.  It felt so necessary, having had the space in the backyard to work with.  My ecological clock was really ticking and every time I looked outside at the sun shining and warming the Earth, I knew I must give back to the space- plant and hang clothes- rather than utilize energy-consuming appliances like dryers in the middle of a warm spring.

Be the change in your neighborhood, get out and smile and say hello to the Earth, to the birds, to the trees, and give thanks that you are healthy enough to use your hands and body to do the work.  Say hello and smile to your neighbors, it's okay if you haven't in many years, today you can start!

We all benefit from having a sense of community and somewhere down the line you might feel assured knowing that your neighbors are looking out for your home when you are not there.

So, expand yourselves- as the trees and branches and flowers do while they bloom and spread their reaches, you can too...

Plant an herb, say hello to your neighbors, hey even plan a block party this summer!

Reach further than what is comfortable.  Enjoy the difference.  And feel quenched from that daily heart juice!!

Every morning I wake up feeling like the day is full of possibilities.
It is nice to keep a soft voice and be gentle with your movements first thing in the morning.  Just like you would if someone were still sleeping in the house.  It is you, and your energy field will appreciate the tenderness and care you take in beginning your day.
Now that my son is in my life, my morning meditation usually includes some yoga stretches right in bed!  Or in the playroom down the hall which also defaults as a yoga practice room.  We do simple things like downward dog, upward dog, butterfly, turtle, happy baby, and bridge, some poses he has been doing since he was just a baby!  And now he still is a happy toddler!

Everything about the morning seems sacred.  Just baking the bed, opening the curtains and pulling back the shades just feels like a ritual.  I like to honor the space that I call home including the bedroom where dreams come!  Clearing any stagnant chi or piles of things before you leave the room can really clear your mind and make you ready to step out into your day with good energy!

Choose a smile, a good morning, as your first words to those who you share a space with.  There will be time to talk after those simple, but sweet gestures!

Have a great morning every morning, and the day will be off to a sweeter start!
